2005 Summary PDF  | Print |  E-mail

Since I didnt have any updates since the beginning of last season, I will give a brief summary of what we have done.
We tagged 19 fish.  17 from the Saco, and two from the Kennebec.  On average, the fish were much larger than they had been in the past.  Rip n Lips charters was a big help with this.  If they caught a big fish, they would call us and we would quickly head out to Jim's secret honey hole and take the fish back to be tagged.
We added in a new buoy up near the dam.  We found that many of our fish made the trip up to the dam and we will be re-deploying this buoy this season.
Two fish returned from previous seasons.  Jake (#1) and Dick (#69) both returned to spend some time in the Saco during 2005.
We deployed one hydrophone in the Kennebec River, upstream of Bath Iron Works.  Unfortunately, an unexpected flood damaged some of our equipment and all of our data was lost.
